This group gathers the constitutions, charters and statutes of the long nineteenth century, 1815 to 1913. These are the constitutions, charters, edicts, statutes and codes by which rulers and assemblies set down the law of a realm. A document belongs here when its cited article gives a date inside this span for the document's own signing, adoption, issue or composition. It excludes documents dated earlier or later, which sit in the neighboring period groups of the same kind. The long nineteenth century from 1815 to 1913 covers the settlement after Napoleon, industrial growth, liberal revolutions and the rise of European and American empires.
