This dimension sorts historical events by their basic type, a battle, a treaty or a natural disaster. Wikipedia notes that history includes thematic categorizations such as "political history, military history, social history, and economic history," each covering its own kind of event. Browsing by event type keeps events of the same kind grouped together.
