Historical kingdoms and principalities of northern and eastern Europe, spanning the medieval Kingdom of Norway, the Kingdom of Prussia and the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, the Polish, Hungarian and Bohemian kingdoms of central and eastern Europe, the Romanian principality of Wallachia, the medieval Caucasus Kingdom of Georgia, and the whole line of early Russian polities from Kievan Rus and the Grand Duchy of Moscow through the Tsardom of Russia to the regional principalities of Halych-Volhynia, Vladimir-Suzdal, Polotsk, Smolensk and Tver. The group joins northern and eastern Europe together as one region because, unlike western and southern Europe, neither has enough separate members in this subcategory to need its own group.
