All South and Central Asian Republics

Modern sovereign republics of South and Central Asia, from the Indian subcontinent's India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka and the Maldives to the five Central Asian republics that emerged from the Soviet Union's 1991 dissolution, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan and Tajikistan. A country is placed here by its own description naming South Asia, Central Asia or the Indian subcontinent as its region, joining these two neighboring regions into one group because neither alone has enough republics in this subcategory to need a separate first-level group.
