Eras

Every historical era this atlas records: the seven period bands, Prehistory and the Ancient World through The Contemporary World, that every dated event and historical figure is placed within somewhere in this atlas. An era's own boundaries are honestly debated among historians and recorded as such rather than presented as a fixed cutoff. This category excludes the events and figures that lived within an era, each its own category linked to it by relationship, and it excludes a state's form of government, which is the separate Polities category.
