The Yemeni revolution, also known as the Yemeni intifada, was a series of major anti-government protests and armed uprisings that swept through Yemen from January 2011 to February 2012. Part of the wider Arab Spring, the uprising led to the overthrow of longtime president Ali Abdullah Saleh's government and the election and inauguration of Abdrabbuh Mansur Hadi as his successor.
