Eras Beginning from 800 to 510 BCE

Eras of the classical world that began between 800 and 510 BCE, before the Roman Republic opened in 509 BCE: Classical Antiquity, which this atlas dates from about 800 BCE, and the Achaemenid Persian Period, which begins about 550 BCE. An era belongs here when its cited source gives a start date inside this span. It excludes eras that began from 509 BCE onward, which sit in the neighboring groups of the same period band, and it does not turn on how long an era lasted or how widely it is remembered. Each member is placed by the start date stated in the source cited for it, so the grouping rests on a quoted source.
