The Boxer Protocol was a diplomatic protocol signed in Beijing on September 7, 1901, between the Qing Empire of China and the Eight-Nation Alliance, joined by Belgium, Spain and the Netherlands, after China's defeat in the intervention that put down the Boxer Rebellion. It is regarded as one of China's unequal treaties.
