The Peace of Ryswick, also spelled Rijswijk, was a series of treaties signed in the Dutch city of Rijswijk between September 20 and October 30, 1697, bringing an end to the Nine Years' War that had been fought since 1688 between France and the Grand Alliance of the Dutch Republic, the Holy Roman Empire, England, Scotland, and Spain.
