Andronikos I Komnenos, Latinized Andronicus I Comnenus, was Byzantine emperor from 1183 to 1185. A nephew of John II Komnenos, he rose to fame during the reign of his cousin Manuel I Komnenos, a period of his life marked by political failures, adventures, scandalous romances and open rivalry with the emperor.
