Constantine X Doukas, also rendered Ducas, was Byzantine emperor from 1059 to 1067 and the founder of the Doukid dynasty. During his reign the Normans took over most of the Byzantine Empire's remaining territory in Italy, the Hungarians occupied Belgrade in the Balkans, and Constantine himself suffered defeats at the hands of the Seljuk sultan Alp Arslan.
