The Taifa of Zaragoza was an independent Arab Muslim state in the eastern part of Al-Andalus, in what is now Spain, ruled from its capital at Saraqusta, the city of Zaragoza, and formed in 1013 as one of the many taifa kingdoms that emerged from the collapse of the Caliphate of Cordoba. The taifa endured for nearly a century before the Almoravids absorbed it into their own empire in 1110.
