Central American and Caribbean Republics

Modern sovereign republics of Central America and the Caribbean, from the Central American isthmus states of Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Panama to the Caribbean island and mainland-adjacent republics of Cuba, Haiti, the Dominican Republic, Trinidad and Tobago, Barbados and Dominica. The group is kept separate from both the North American Republics group and the South American Republics group because its own member countries' descriptions consistently name Central America, the Caribbean or the West Indies as their region rather than either of those two larger continental groupings.
