All Ancient Greek and Hellenistic Rulers

Rulers of ancient Greece, Macedon and the Hellenistic kingdoms that followed Alexander the Great's conquests, including Alexander's own reign as King of Macedon, the satraps and local dynasts of the Hellenized eastern Mediterranean such as Artemisia I of Caria, and the Seleucid successor kings such as Antiochus IV Epiphanes, who ruled a Greek speaking dynasty over a largely Near Eastern realm. The group is kept separate from both the Byzantine Emperors group, which begins with Constantine the Great's refounding of Rome's eastern capital, and the Middle Eastern and Islamic World Rulers group, since these rulers' own political and cultural identity is Greek and Macedonian rather than either later empire.
