Kasturba Gandhi (1869-1944), known as Ba, was an Indian freedom fighter and the wife of Mohandas Gandhi. She was born in Porbandar in Gujarat, the daughter of a well-to-do businessman, and was married to Gandhi in 1882 while still a child.
